JANUARY 15, 2009, SPECIAL NON-WORKING DAY IN THE CITY OF SAN PABLO

As per Proclamation No. 1701 signed by Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita in behalf of President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo last January 9, 2009, January 15, 2009 is a Special Non-working Day in the City of San Pablo to give the residents the opportunity to fittingly celebrated the Feast Day of Saint Paul, The First Hermit, which coincided with the commemoration of the 412th Anniversary of the Founding of the Parish of San Paul, The First Hermit by the Augustinian Fathers, and now the seat of the Diocese of San Pablo, Inc. according to City Mayor Vicente B. Amante who officially received a signed copy this morning.

Earlier, as per resolution of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, January 15th of every year is a banking holiday in the city as a security measure, considering that most of the bank offices in the city are located near the City Cathedral. Amante added
