BALADAD ASSUMES HELM OF 202ND BDE

Rizal, Laguna - B/Gen. Jorge V. Segovia, Commander of Philippine Army 2nd Infantry Division has installed Co.. Leo B. Baladad as the new 202nd Brigade Commanding Officer-in-Charge vice Col. Bobby Calleja in an appropriate ceremony held here recently.

Col. Baladad is author of many books in military science dealing with rules on engagement, conflict management, civilian-military operations and other topics dealing with academic fields.

The 202nd Commander is a much sought after lecturer at the Philippine National Police Academy and his own alma mater Philippine Military Academy to which he belongs to Class ’82.

Col. Baladad brought with him his rich experience in the field, from actual combat to civil relations which the Armed Forces of the Philippines has adopted with much success in the campaign against insurgency.

The new Commanding Officer used to be deputy commander of 202nd BDE under Gen. Segovia until his promotion as Assistant Chief of Staff for Civil Military Operation (G7) Philippine Army last year at Fort Bonifacio.

Philippine Army Commanding General Delfin Bangit saw the leadership potential of Col. Baladad hence promoted him as 202nd BDE Commanding Officer.

The ceremony was witnessed by Mayor Rolen Urriquia, Fiscal Ante Gonzales, Laguna Police Director Manolito Labrador, P/Supt. Raul Bargamento, P/Supt. Kirby Kraft, Ltc Arnel Villareal, Ltc. Carlo Orcina, Ltc. Eduardo Torrizo, Ltc. Jaime Anawag Jr., junior officers and soldiers of the whole brigade. (NANI CORTEZ)
