Sta. Cruz, Laguna – The Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) unanimously passed a resolution greeting Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) on its 96th anniversary celebration on July 27, 2010.
Suspending the internal rules, the felicitation to INC was authored by BM Neil Nocom, ably seconded by BM Angelica Jones with no objection from all present at Wednesday session.
Present during the session when BM Palacol sponsored the resolution were BM Joseph Kris Benjamin Agarao, Carlo Almoro, Neptali Bagnes, Rey Paras, Juan Unico, Gab Alatiit, Emil Tiongco, Alejandro Yu and Floro Esguerra.
Vice-Governor and Presiding Officer Caesar P. Perez said that the resolution is one way of showing gratitude to INC contribution to the province peace and order as its members are known to be well-disciplined.
Perez also said that SP can not count out the role of INC and its importance to the spiritual needs of the people of Laguna.
Governor Jorge ER Ejercito immediately sent the congratulatory message to INC in time for the celebration on Tuesday, July 27.
