The Laguna State Polytechnic University (LSPU) conferred Doctor of Philosophy in Humanities (honoris causa) to San Pablo City Mayor Vicente B. Amante in an appropriate ceremony last Wednesday Feb. 24. The conferment is the academe’s recognition for Dr. Amante’s contribution in the field of public service, that for the last 20 years his dedication to duty was the living proof of his aspirations to the common good. That for so many terms as a city executive, had touched the lives of his constituents and has brought the city to a greater glory.
